Sac-Coworking and Capsity Offices will be hosting a Seasonal Flu Clinic. There will be a representative from Mercy General Hospital present at our facilities applying the flu shot to those who have rsvp'd.

Is the question...  Why should I get a flu shot? or Can I really afford to get sick?

"Influenza (the flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. The best way to prevent seasonal flu is by getting a seasonal flu vaccination each year. Each year in the United States on average, 5% to 20% of the population gets the flu; on average, more than 200,000 people are hospitalized from flu-related complications, and; about 36,000 people die from flu-related causes. Some people, such as older people, young children, and people with certain health conditions, are at high risk for serious flu complications."

Don't be a statistic and get your flu shot!

The benefits of getting the flu shot are:

• It may keep you from getting the flu. this can save you time (fewer sick days) and money (fewer visits, medicines, and hospital costs).
• If you do get the flu, it can make the symptoms milder and reduce the risk of serious complications.
• It can help limit the spread of the flu to others.
• This year specifically, also consider reducing your chance to get the seasonal flu as H1N1 arrives.
